Domestic Short Hair - Orange - Bridget - Large - Adult - Female
As you can see, Bridget is sort of a chubster, but she's not all cheery and perky like Melissa McCarthy. She's more contemplative, and sort of soulful like Mama Cass. (Remember her???) She is getting used to the other cats in her foster home and she ignores the dogs. What she is really getting used to are her nightly brushings, just before bed time, when she just purrs and purrs with pleasure. If she could sing "Dream a Little Dream of Me" to you, she would, but if you sing it, she'll just hum along. Bridget spent the first three years of her life in the company of an elderly gentleman who loved her dearly, but he was apparently a recluse and so he was her only human contact except for an occasional social worker in their small apartment. Imagine how she felt when he suddenly left her because of health problems, and then, after spending weeks all by herself in the apartment, she was taken to a huge house with strange humans and all these unfamiliar animals! It is not surprising that she spent the first three weeks hiding under a bed. But Bridget knew one thing--someone had loved her once, and gradually she came to accept that someone else could love her too. Could that be you? She is turning out to be affectionate, inquisitive about the world outside her window, and tolerant of other animals. Plus she has the most wide golden bright eyes you ever saw. (And she did know one other thing--that catnip rocks!) She would like to turn those mesmerizing eyes toward you in her new home.
