Meet Pancake! He is a laid back and sweet Himalayan kitty that turned one year old this past August. He has beautiful blue eyes and lovely whitish/gray fur. His favorite hobbies include looking out the window on his "cat tree," sitting on your laptop while your using it, sitting on your newspaper while you're trying to read it, and sitting in paper bags--did I mention he's a little quirky? Sometimes he is a little unsure when he meets new people--not skittish, but he takes a little while to warm up to you. But, once he gets to know you, he'll be glued to you and will enjoy sitting on your lap while you're trying to work too. He is somewhat lazy and maybe not the most graceful lug around, but he is sweet and has yet to scratch or hiss at a person.
According to our vet, Pancake has a clean bill of health. He is fixed and up to date on his shots. He does, however, have a finicky stomach and needs to be on wet food ONLY; for some reason dry food upsets his tummy and makes him sick. The higher quality wet food, the better. Also, he is an indoor cat and should stay that way; his fur would be a matted mess if let outdoors, and he's an attractive cat and someone else may take him home.
My hubby and I love Pancake and it breaks my heart to rehome him, but we just got married and we are financially not able to take care of him anymore--vet bills are expensive, as well as other expenses (like his flea treatment, which has to be done almost monthly due to his long fur). He isn't getting the attention he deserves either; his fur needs to be brushed almost daily (or at least a few times a week) to keep his fur from matting, and we don't have the time to keep up with it.
Pancake will have a rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a wonderful home. We also will interview those who are interested in him so he goes to the best person possible. We would prefer him to go to someone that has experience with this breed and all the responsibility that comes with it, as well as someone who maybe is on the "crazy cat person" side and loves to spoil their pets. :)
